Engage & Educate: Interactive Cornhole Games for Community Fun

At Cornhole Games Australia, we’re proud to create custom cornhole boards that combine education, sustainability, and local craftsmanship. Based right here in Brisbane, we’ve partnered with many councils, water and waste authorities, as well as local  community groups across Australia to design interactive games that teach important environmental messages.

These games promote engagement with an easy learning style that's fun to play.

Waste Sorting Cornhole Boards

Cleanaway wanted a set of three custom cornhole boards designed to look like bins — Recycling, Green Waste, and General Waste.

Each cornhole bag represents a common household item — things like food scraps, bottles, paper towels, and soft plastics. Players then decide which bin each item belongs in and throw their bag into the right board.

It’s simple, fun, and surprisingly effective

at getting people to think before they toss.

One of our recent collaborations was with Cleanaway, who used our waste-sorting cornhole game at the Brisbane Green Heart Fair — an event focused on sustainability and community education. The boards were a hit, drawing a crowd of kids and adults alike while helping to reinforce correct waste disposal and recycling habits.

These games are ideal for councils and waste partners looking to make sustainability education engaging, memorable, and interactive.

“Bin It or Flush It?” Toilet Education Cornhole

Another popular version we’ve built is the Toilet Education Cornhole Game, designed to spread the “Only Flush the 3 Ps” message — pee, poo and (toilet) paper.

This setup features two boards — one shaped like a Toilet and one like a Bin — along with cornhole bags printed with items such as baby wipes, tissues, and cotton buds.

Players must decide whether each item should be flushed or binned before making their toss.

It’s cheeky, interactive, and perfect for water-saving campaigns, community engagement stalls, or plumbing awareness events. The game gets plenty of laughs while reinforcing an important environmental message.

Locally Made. Sustainably Crafted. 100% Brisbane.

We believe the best way to promote sustainability is to start at home — by making quality products locally and responsibly.

We are so proud to promote how totally unique we are in Australia, and here's a breakdown of how we do it:

Local Support

We’re proudly based in Brisbane, and we source all our materials from local suppliers. When you order from us, you’re supporting up to eight Brisbane-owned businesses, including five small, family-run ones, just like us

Handcrafted Cornhole Boards

Every board is handmade in Brisbane using Queensland-milled timber — never imported. This ensures you receive a high-quality, locally produced game that's built to last.

Local Cornhole Bags

Our cornhole bags are made right here in Brisbane and filled with real, locally grown corn sourced from Australian farms and another small local business. We use sustainable materials and processes to keep production eco-friendly and authentic to the game’s true origins. Unlike imported bags that use microplastics to pass customs, ours are fully biodegradable — so if a bag ever breaks, it won’t release harmful plastics into the environment.

Minimal Waste Production

We take pride in our efficient cutting process — our board faces are designed to fit perfectly within standardized Australian plywood sheet, keeping waste below 1%. It’s smart design that minimizes environmental impact.

Durable and Maintainable

We use solid Queensland timber, not particle board, for strength and longevity. Each board is finished with a water-based polyurethane coatings that can be easily reapplied by the customer for long-term care.

Convenient Storage and Setup

All boards feature foldable legs, so they’re easy to store and transport. No tools required. We also offer optional carry bags for added protection and convenience..

Eco-Friendly from Start to Finish

Both our boards and bags are made from real timber and corn, which means they naturally break down at the end of their life. This makes them far more sustainable than imported particle board or plastic-filled alternatives.
